The client is Be Accounted, an accounting firm based in north Brisbane that works with businesses and individuals.
Jess from Be Accounted engaged us to update her existing WordPress site and untangle a bit of a mess with domains and hosting. The old site was short on copy and keywords, and it had some incorrect info, along with broken links/forms. The design and branding was okay… but you need more than a pretty site if you want to generate traffic and leads.
We wrote fresh copy for the site from scratch, including a tagline – “we speak your language” – that sums up what makes Be Accounted a truly unique experience for clients. We were careful to reinforce the promise of “speaking their language” throughout the copy, using simple, friendly words and nothing too technical. Since it’s only a one-page website, we were limited in the number of keywords we could target. But we made sure to cover a few key location-based keywords. We’ve advised Jess than when she’s ready to be more strategic with SEO, she’ll have more success with a multi-page site where we can include more rich content and keywords. As well as the copy, we cleaned up the design, added new sections to support the new copy, fixed the broken links, and added clearer calls to action, encouraging new clients to book a complimentary chat to get started. Plus, we recorded some CMS training videos to help Jess make updates to the site herself – but we’re also here to help with updates when she needs them.
