Fact: Someone’s Gotta Maintain Your Site
Paying for website maintenance is a pain in the you-know-what. But we can think of a few things that are more painful…
- Having your website go down without a backup
- Getting hacked because your security was nonexistent
- Having to blunder through another WordPress update on your own
Winging your website maintenance is risky business. But keeping your site professionally maintained (ideally by the people who built it) is the best way to keep your site online, healthy, and up-to-date. Which is why we’ve put together these website maintenance packages.
Everything You Need for a Healthy Website
Fast Hosting
We put your site on high-performing, modern infrastructure so your site can run fast with close to 100% uptime.
Software & Plugin Updates
When new versions of WordPress or your site plugins are released, we maximise security by making your updates quickly. And we take care of any conflicts that may arise.
Content Updates
You’re welcome to update your content yourself, but if you don’t have time or you don’t feel confident to DIY, we’re here to help. We can add blogs, update images, and change your wording.
Bug Fixes
Solid security, premium software, and regular updates should mean very few bugs. But if something breaks, we’ll be here to help fix it.
Security
Our premium security software includes a firewall that protects your site from vulnerabilities, malicious bots, and spam. We monitor your site for potential issues so we can fix them quickly.
Backups
With regular backups and copies of your site, we can quickly restore it if it goes down or something breaks.

FAQs About Our Website Maintenance Plans
As long as you’re on our hosting and maintenance package, you’ll need to host your website with us. This is to ensure we can manage all our clients’ sites efficiently. And so that we have full access and visibility to fix problems quickly if they arise.
The purpose of our care plans is to provide preventative care so that your website doesn’t get hacked or go offline. But occasionally, something could happen to take your site offline (it can happen to even the biggest, most secure websites). If this happens, we will work to get everything back up and running as quickly as possible.
You could ask us to:
- Add or schedule a blog post
- Add a new testimonial
- Update your team bios
- Update a few images
- Update some copy/wording on 1-2 pages
Any task that goes beyond the scope of “content updates” or will take longer than 15 minutes will be considered a new project. In this case, we’ll provide you a separate quote so you know exactly what it’ll cost.
If you have used all of your tasks for the month, we’ll let you know. Any extra tasks can wait until the following month when your job count resets, or we can provide you with a quote to get them done sooner.
If you want to make most of the content updates yourself, the short black package is probably right for you. If you’d like just a few updates here and there, you’ll love the standard latte. If you have a bigger site and/or you’d like one or two content updates done for you each week, go for the double shot cap.
No. Updating your content does not include writing content or sourcing images for you. We simply edit your site to add the content you’ve provided, based on your instructions. If you need content creation (like blogging, copywriting, and graphics) we may be able to offer this as a separate service or recommend another freelancer who can help.
At the end of each billing cycle, we’ll send you a report that includes details on the maintenance done, plus the overall state and health of your website. It will look a little bit like this.
Your website package includes hosting and maintenance for the first 12 months, as part of your payment plan. After the first 12 months, you can continue working with us or we can move you to another host.
If you need more or less content updates, bandwidth, or storage, it might make sense to change your plan. We can update your plan at any time. If you’re on a 12-month payment plan, we will work out the difference and apply it to your remaining payments.
We include hosting and maintenance as part of your website package for the first 12 months. After this, you’re welcome to move to another provider. If your website is hosted with us, then we will provide a full file and database backup of your website to move elsewhere. We may be able to assist with the move (depending on your new provider) for an additional fee.
So many reasons. You’re busy running your business, serving customers and clients. You don’t have time to deal with website updates, security, and more. Our website hosting and maintenance also includes extra security, backup, and monitoring features that would cost a lot to purchase or subscribe to on your own – we make them available to our clients for a fraction of the price (it’s included in your package).
Bandwidth refers to the total amount of data transferred. For example, if one person visits four pages on your site, and each page loads around 1mb of data, a total of 4mb of data is transferred.
Each website is different and the amount of bandwidth you need will depend on the type/size of data your users are downloading. For example, if a 4-page website averages 1mb per page, 100GB of bandwidth will cater to approximately 25,000 monthly visitors. The bandwidth allocated to each of our hosting and maintenance packages will be plenty for most small business websites.
Storage is the total amount of space allocated to storing your website on our servers.
It’ll depend on the size of your site, features/plugins, and media hosted on your site (usually big media files are hosted externally). Our hosting and maintenance packages include enough storage for most small business websites, but if you need some extra space, we’ll let you know what we recommend.
Don’t worry. We won’t cut you off! We’ll let you know if your monthly usage has exceeded our limits and will move you onto an upgraded plan for the next month. Or we might look at other solutions to cost-effectively help you get more from your storage and bandwidth. But if you’re in that position, it probably means you’re getting a lot of traffic, so it’s a good problem to have.
We offer a ‘failover’ server as an optional add-on to any of our care plan packages (available from $19/month). When this is activated, your server will be cloned to a separate server automatically at a set interval (between 1-24 hours, depending on the website). If your main server ever goes down, we can point your domain to the failover server, which will minimise downtime. This feature is perfect for mission-critical websites where even a short amount of downtime can be detrimental. Contact us to find out more.
