How it Works
1/ Free Website Planning Call
Start by sending through your details and booking a free 30-min Website Planning Call. We’ll chat about your business, goals, and ideas, and put together a Website Plan that covers a sitemap and outline for each page. We’ll send this through via email, along with a proposal in case you’d like to keep working with us.
2/ Getting Started
We’ll officially welcome you aboard the Brew Express Train with an email and links to all sorts of useful things for the project (communication channels, shared folders, style guide template, and how-to guide). Meanwhile, we’ll get to work on creating your wireframe, ready to go through with you.
3/ Detailed Website Planning Call
We’ll jump on a second website planning call where we can cover the project in more detail. We’ll present your wireframe, confirm it’s on track, hand over your copywriting templates (these will be tailored to match your wireframe and website structure), talk more about your design preferences, and confirm your tech setup. And of course, answer any questions you may have.
4/ Design Concepts
After the call, we’ll get straight to work on creating a website homepage concept based on what we discussed. The next day, we’ll book another call to present this concept and get your feedback so that we can fine-tune your design.
5/ Finalising the Website
Over the next 5-7 days, we’ll build out the remaining pages and adjust the design based on your feedback. We’ll also import any photos and written content you’ve provided. If there’s any gaps in your content and you need more time to work on the copy, we’ll use filler content to keep things moving forward (you can easily update this later on).
6/ Go Live
Once it’s finished, you’ll get a link to preview the site before it goes live on your domain. In the meantime, we’ll run through our standard pre-launch checklist to make sure everything is working perfectly. This includes details like mobile responsiveness, links, and form submissions. After checking in with you, we’ll set up the hosting, link your domain, and make the website live.
7/ Ongoing Care & Updates
Once your site is live, we’ll continue to take care of it on our monthly website care plan. This covers hosting, maintenance, security, plugin/platform updates, support, quarterly strategy calls, and unlimited small content update requests. You’ll also get your own login in case you’d like to make your own content updates.

Are your Brew Express websites built using WordPress?
Yes, we build all our websites on the WordPress platform.
Why is Brew Express more affordable than other custom web design packages?
A few reasons. Firstly, we skip a lot of the detailed strategy work (which tends to be overkill for startups). Secondly, we don’t write the content for you (which is typically the most time-consuming bit). And finally, we keep the designs (and functionality) professional but simple, which means we can quickly build and tailor your design. All this efficiency means we can pass on the cost savings.
What if I need different pages than the standard Brew Express package?
The standard package includes a home page, about page, services page, up to three services sub-pages, a contact page, and a blog. This will suit most small service-based businesses, but not everyone. Let us know what you have in mind when you send through your application, and we’ll let you know if it’s possible and how it might impact your setup fee.
What if I need a specific integration or plugin for my site, or something a little bit fancy?
If you need something a little more complex or fancy, the Express package is probably not a fit. Check out our Custom Design & Development offer or our Full Custom Website Package.
Can I get access to make my own updates to the site after it goes live?
Yes. You’ll get your own login so that you can update the content yourself. But most clients simply ask us to make updates for them — it’s usually quicker!
What if I can’t get the content together in time?
No problem. Content creation doesn’t need to hold up the process. We’ll use filler content so there’s no empty spaces when your site goes live — you can easily replace this content (or ask us to replace it for you) once you’re ready.
What’s the difference between Brew Express and your custom website package?
Our signature custom website package is geared at well-established businesses that are looking to upgrade their brand or the functionality of their website. As such, there are a few key differences.
Brew Express skips over some of the (very) time-consuming aspects of our other custom packages. Instead of us creating your content strategy and copy for you, you’ll provide the copy and images ahead of kick-off. Instead of spending weeks on strategy (including developing an SEO strategy), we cover the key details in your Website Planning Call. And instead of building out your design from the ground up, we start with some pre-built structures to speed up this process, before tailoring them to your brand. Finally, Brew Express is great for information sites, but won’t have as much flexibility with plugins and fancy custom elements that take time to develop.
Do I have to go onto your ongoing Care Plan or can I take care of my own website hosting and updates?
Brew Express sites must remain on our care plan for a minimum of 12 months. If after 12 months, you decide to move to another hosting or care provider, we can either provide the website files as-is in a zipped folder, or move the website to your new hosting for a small fee.
